Is Your Life Filled with Drama?

Engaging in “drama” is a major waste of the life force. Olympic one-hundred meter champion Usain Bolt might be a superbly gifted athlete and the fastest guy on the planet, but if he had run off the track in Beijing at the fifty meter mark to beat up his old man because of some childhood grievance, he would not be the world champion today. Drama takes you away from your vision, from what you really want and need. It is disempowering.

Dramas are the unconscious, personal, and emotional conflicts that we create with others, or with life situations. They emerge from a need for control. The need for drama varies from person to person, and from time to time. It can be measured as an “index,” which indicates your tendency to engage in actions that are projections of unacknowledged emotions.

Generally speaking, your need for drama is inversely related to your intention to take responsibility for your life and especially your soul issues. When you are assuming responsibility for your emotional energy, your need for drama will be minimal. When you are not taking responsibility for your energy, then drama will develop, probably sooner rather than later.

Are You Giving 95% of Your Power Away?

Many human beings spend much time or even their entire lives engaging in drama, for in their disempowered alienation from Spirit they know of no other way. At this time in our spiritual evolution, human beings aren’t too good at accepting responsibility for themselves. This problem is the key issue of the human oversoul. All you have to do is go to a major online chat forum and see how many people are spreading hate, blame, and shame.

At the time of this writing the average level of responsibility of human beings on this planet is about 5 percent. Another way of looking at this is to say that we give 95 percent of our power away.

As a Sage, you will naturally take more responsibility for yourself and for your life, and in doing so you will be assisting the evolution of our species.

Being The Sage or the Wimpy One...

Standing in your power is easier said than done. You cannot stand in your power if you are not assuming a high level of responsibility for your energy. Of course, when you engage in drama with others, they also have a role in the proceedings. For the average human being, the vast majority of her psyche exists in shadow, and so the energy of others has multiple doorways in which to enter her mind and manipulate her. She will be all too easily dragged into drama. That manipulative energy will come from friends, family, society, and the human collective.

Wimps give their power away all too easily to others. They are scared of abandonment, failure, and judgment. The energies and opinions of others are more powerful than their self-belief. When I was eighteen years old, I was pretty wimpy. I simply did not have enough belief in myself at that age to consider the possibility that I could find the way to overcome whatever challenges came forward. I stood there and let life flatten me.

Of course, you can’t really blame a shy eighteen-year-old for lacking personal power. Yet many people remain this wimpy all their lives. As soon as life throws up an obstacle, as soon as someone pushes them, doubt and fear emerge from the psyche, and they fall over.

When People Set Up Roadblocks

Is Your Life Filled with Drama? The universe is on your side. Integrated Intelligence and guidance are always at your disposal. But you have to understand that at a psychic level, humanity is often against you. People don’t like change, and they don’t like risk. So as you shift gears and move forward, some people will set up psychic roadblocks for you — and a few physical ones too.

The Sage sees the roadblock, and just drives around it. No drama. The wimp doesn’t even know the roadblock is there, and just gives up. Or he revs the wheels, kicking and screaming, blaming the universe and plotting revenge, going nowhere.

If you’re on the Sage’s path, you will forgive yourself for your limitations and errors of judgment, and gently return again and again to your bliss, even as the universe calls you home. As the years pass, your wisdom will grow. The universe will not deny a spirit with courage and conviction.

Being Diverted by What Society Tells You To Do?

Society also will tell you what you should and should not do, and what you should and shouldn’t feel. It will tell you to sit down and shut up when you could be taking concrete actions that move you closer to your dream, and it will tell you to do lots of stuff that serves no useful purpose: “Here, type up the minutes of this meeting, and put them on the website.” “Why?” “No why. Just shut up and do it.” “And the swine flu is coming. Feel free to panic for several weeks while we sell these newspapers.”

The Sage can feel what is and isn’t necessary. She knows what is and isn’t real. She is empowered by her deep knowing. She doesn’t waste time in drama, whether her own, or that of society and humanity. The Sage’s power emerges not merely from the accumulated wisdom of her life experience, but from her Integrated Intelligence. It is the power to keep the mind and heart centered upon her bliss, in the peace of the present moment, and free from the distractions of the ego.

When drama escalates, you have to keep working at it. You have to maintain self-discipline and a high level of responsibility for your words, actions, behaviors, and psychic projections onto the other people involved. Telling the boss, “Okay, all is forgiven, let’s move on, okay?” is not going to work if your deeper mind is saying, “I hope you get hit by a cement truck, you old fart.” The Sage has to be on the ball. Higher levels of responsibility and discipline are required to really live an empowered life.
