Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.

When people talk about the inner self, they usually focus on emotions, spirituality, and other "non-physical" aspects of our being. However, our inner self, literally, also includes our blood vessels, organs, nerves, glands, etc. So this week, we focus on the physical body and its healing.

We start with Jacques Martel, author of The Encyclopedia of Ailments and Diseases, who introduces us to "The First Principle of Healing: Love Is The True Healer". We then continue our healing journey with Kristin Grayce McGary, author of Know Your Blood, Know Your Health, who reminds us that "Your Body Is a Garden, Not a Machine".

Another aspect of our being  which includes the physical, as well as other aspects, are the chakras. We bring you two different authors with two different avenues of using the chakras for healing. First, Glen Park, author of Chakra Healing Therapy, guides us in "Understanding and Developing Our Chakras". Then Candice Covington, author of Vibrational Nutrition, invites us into a colorful world of "Eating the Rainbow: Food Colors and Chakra Correspondences".

We complete our featured articles this week with  Anton Stucki, author of Restore Hearing Naturally.  While most of us may think of hearing problems and hearing loss as, not only just a physical problem, but also an irreversible one, Anton Stucki opens the door to a whole new perspective in "The World in Our Ears: Rebuilding Our Connection to the World".

And speaking of a whole new world, this week, we are introducing our new assistant for audio articles at InnerSelf. The article The World in Our Ears is read, not by me or by the author, but by AI (artificial intelligence). I was a bit hesitant in introducing AI to InnerSelf, but since we humans have time limitations, and since we, at InnerSelf.com, have more articles than I can narrate myself, we found a program that has a high quality of voice presentation so that we are excited about this new addition to InnerSelf.

There have been immense improvements in the quality of voice and presentation by AI, and we are happy to be able to provide more audio content for those who either have physical challenges with sight, or for those who prefer audios for various reasons. We welcome your feedback and comments.

The featured articles will continue to mostly be read by me or by the authors, while the "additional articles" will be read by AI. This week, since this is a whole new adventure for us, only two articles have AI audio, and those are The World in Our Ears and How Intolerance of Uncertainty Links Liberals and Conservatives.

Please scroll down for the featured articles in this new issue of InnerSelf, and also the additional new articles that were added to the website during the week.

Wishing you enjoyable insightful reading, and of course a wonder-full, joy-full, health-full, and loving week.

Your Body Is a Garden, Not a Machine

Your Body Is a Garden, Not a Machine

The human body is an amazing thing, full of systems, organs, nerves, and vessels that work together in harmony. You’ve seen the body described as a machine, as a city, or even as a factory. But I view the body as a garden. I feel this analogy best encompasses not only how the body works but how we should care for it.

Without The Right Financial Strategies, Climate Change Efforts Will Remain Unfinished Business

How Do Middle Eastern Monarchies Hold On To Power?

In no other area of the world do royal families dominate politics as much as in the Middle East. Six of the states on the Arabian peninsula are monarchies, as are Jordan and Morocco. Royals not only rule in these states, but in most cases members of the royal family dominate positions of influence in government and business sectors.
