Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.

At times we may have thought that the mind was one thing and our soul or spirit was separate from it, and that we have no control over any of it. However, we are a "package deal". Our mind, body, and spirit, are all part of who we are... Like a car that has an engine, a transmission, a body, an interior, etc., we have all these parts that function as one.

Some scientists may have, in the past, chosen to negate the existence of a spirit or soul choosing to affirm that the body was a machine with the brain in charge. Yet, with the advent of quantum physics and the discovery that everything is made of energy, the distinction between all these parts of a human being start to fall away. We see that everything operates together as one wholistic (whole) energy.

This week, our featured authors look at the connection between science and spirit (by whichever name it is called). The articles look at neuroscience, meditation, mindfulness, and its connectedness to science and to us. The more we connect with our Oneness, both within our own self, and also our oneness and connection with others, the more we will attain the future we may have not even dared dream of yet.

However, it is time to let go of past limitations and beliefs, and step forth into a world of new possibilities... It is time to envision new futures, and help make them reality through our thoughts, words, and actions... and of course through the power of our heart as well as our mind.
