This week, September 8–14, 2025, the Eclipse Corridor amplifies karmic lessons and opportunities for release. With the South Node highlighted by the Sun and Mercury, old patterns of worry, control, and self-criticism surface. These transits invite reflection, mindfulness, and surrender to higher flow. The days ahead mark a pivotal step toward the Virgo Solar Eclipse, signaling the close of a major karmic cycle.

In This Week's Astrological Overview:

September 8 - 14, 2025

ECLIPSE CORRIDOR: We have now entered the Eclipse Corridor, that two-week period between eclipses when life-changing events tend to occur and life may seem quite surreal. The sense of being untethered is especially strong with our recent Total Lunar Eclipse / Full Moon being in oceanic, mystical Pisces.

The wave of energies that have wafted in with the September 7 eclipse are helping wash away our attachment to what we once clung to in order to feel safe—the attitudes, the need to control, the rigid rules, the protections. As we tap into these Piscean energies, it becomes far easier to surrender to the higher flow. This letting go is especially vital leading up to the Solar Eclipse on September 21; that lunation will be a South Node eclipse in the very last degree of Virgo, representing the completion of a major karmic cycle.

SUN, MERCURY, AND THE SOUTH NODE: We will likely have plenty of opportunities to observe old karmic patterns in action this week as the Sun and Mercury both conjoin the Virgo South Node. The Sun will shine a light on unhealthy habits such as overanalyzing, fault-finding, nervousness, excessive worry, and basing our well-being on the ability to control outcomes.

With Mercury conjunct both the Sun and the South Node, our minds may easily fall into old mental ruts, so mindfulness practices are especially helpful now. It will be essential to use our powers of discrimination regarding news and other information we receive. Questions we can ask ourselves include:

* Does this communication help me view life from a higher perspective, or does it keep me overly focused on how things could go wrong?
* Does this conversation open my heart and inspire my compassion, or does it stir up old patterns of blame?
* Does my internal dialogue support my faith in a greater plan and my ability to trust in positive outcomes, or does it feed fear and worry?

The spiritual work we do this coming week, as we reflect on these questions, will greatly assist our personal soul growth as well as the overall evolution of humanity. Our efforts to instill new patterns of thought and behavior will also prove to be very helpful as we move through the South Node eclipse in two weeks' time.

DAILY ASPECTS THIS WEEK (September 8 - 14, 2025):

Here are my brief interpretations of this week's most important aspects, day by day:

Monday
Mercury sesquiquadrate Chiron: We could be especially sensitive to others' words or feel inadequate in our own communication abilities. Even well-intentioned advice could be perceived as being judgmental or demeaning.
Sun sesquiquadrate Pluto: Minor power struggles are possible. Some may utilize obvious control methods, while others could resort to covert manipulations.

Tuesday
No major aspects are exact today.

Wednesday
Sun conjunct South Node: Old habits of worry and blame could resurface now.
Mercury sesquiquadrate Pluto: The mind tends to be suspicious with this aspect, or could spend too much time ruminating on problems.

Thursday
Mercury conjunct South Node: This is a good day for mindfulness practices, since our thoughts could otherwise tend to be self-critical or pessimistic.

Friday-Saturday
Sun sextile Jupiter, Mercury sextile Jupiter, Sun conjunct Mercury: We can more easily tap into a flow of positive energy now. The mind is cautious yet hopeful, seeing how ideals could manifest in reality. The larger perspective is integrated into our daily routines and our ability to solve problems is enhanced.

Sunday
No major aspects are exact today.

If Your Birthday Is This Week (September 8 - 14):

While you may encounter some old patterns that need to be addressed—habits of worry or self-criticism, in particular—you have the wind beneath your wings in many ways this year, helping you rise above unhealthy behaviors and perspectives. If you are a writer or teacher, you can access new methods for conveying the information and insights you wish to share. Communications are highlighted throughout the year, and you may have new opportunities to more broadly disseminate your ideas.
